Combat Allergy Causing Irritants
Do you sleep comfortablely? Do you awake each morning congested with itchy eyes, sneezing or coughing? Do your eyes, nose and throat get irritated when you vaccum, sweep or dust? You can reduce the effects of irritants in your home: pollen, dust mites, bedbugs, pet dander and more.
Irritants in your home love to live in or collect in fabrics: mattresses, blankets, pillows, sheets, upholstery, drapes, curtains, rugs and carpets---most cloth fabrics.
Your cleaning process must become a ritual--vigilant and consistent.
Vacuum all fabrics in your home weekly. "All Fabrics" include carpets, mattresses, furniture and drapes.
Machine Wash-n-Dry your Bedding every two(2) weeks. When you dry your clothing and bedding outside, these items are subject to collect pollen. High temperatures of commercial washers and dryers help kill dust mites; machines extract and send irritants to the sewer system. Bedding includes mattress pads, comforters, quilts, blankets, pillows, pillow cases, and sheets.
Clean your carpets every six (6) months. After shampooing, thoroughly vacuum carpets.
Consider encasing your mattresses and pillows in special dust mite-proof covers.
